Frank has pics and stories about many of the places Jeb and Zach ventured through, Uvalde, Eagle Pass, Fort Clarke Springs (Brackettville), Carizzo Springs, and the Nueces Plains, where long-horns lived and multiplied during the War Between the States. Juan Cortina was a real person. We fictionalized his younger brother, but the rest of his shenanigans are written in the history books.
